The Official Manatee County Inmate Roster
The Sheriff's Arrest Inquiry page is the official Manatee County jail roster. The page embeds a booking-search application from manatee-sheriff.revize.com/bookings. The official disclaimer says the information may change at any time and does not detail the final disposition of criminal justice proceedings. All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty.
The roster covers two groups: people currently in custody at the Manatee County Central Jail, and people who were released within the last ninety days. For full Manatee County criminal case status, use the Clerk's court records search. For people released more than ninety days ago, request a public-record report from the Sheriff or use court records to confirm the case outcome.
The Manatee County Central Jail information page covers intake, property, medical screening, fingerprinting, and the first-appearance schedule.

Every Manatee arrestee goes through the same intake process before housing assignment.
Manatee County Inmate Search Fields
The embedded booking application uses a small set of fields to locate a record. What a Manatee County Inmate Record Shows
Each inmate profile in the Sheriff app returns the public booking data captured at intake. The Sheriff's disclaimer warns that this booking data is not the same as a court file. Court charges and dispositions live with the Clerk. The profile below lists the fields a user can expect on a Manatee County inmate record.

|---|---|
| Inmate Name | Indexed at booking from the arresting agency report. |
| Mugshot | Booking photograph captured at intake. |

First Appearance and Bond at the Manatee County Jail
The Sheriff's Charges and Bond page says all arrestees who do not bond out routinely appear before a judge within 24 hours. For misdemeanors, the judge may accept a guilty plea and release on recognizance or time served. For felonies, the judge may raise or lower bond. Some defendants are referred for Supervised ROR screening, which can lengthen release time.
Bond is paid in cash, cashier's checks, or money orders only. Cash bonds are accepted 24 hours a day. Cashier's checks and money orders must be payable to the Manatee County Clerk of Circuit Court with the booking number on the memo line. Cash-bond refunds require the blue bond receipt and a court disposition sheet releasing the bond; refunds are processed by the Clerk, not the Sheriff.
The Sheriff's Charges and Bond page spells out the accepted payment methods and front-desk hours.

The page also notes that the Clerk processes bond refunds, not the Sheriff, which avoids the most common family mix-up.

Visitation at the Manatee County Jail
Manatee uses non-contact video visitation. Visits take place at the Visitation Center, 2705 County Line Road, Palmetto, FL. Visitors do not visit at the Central Jail itself. The center is open daily 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visits are by appointment only. First-time visitors call the visitation line at (941) 747-3011 ext. 2902. The Sheriff's visitation page lists ID rules, dress code, scheduling windows, and the ViaPath support line.

Every visit needs an appointment by 11:59 p.m. the day before, so first-time visitors should not show up cold.

Manatee County Court Records vs Jail Records
The Sheriff and the Clerk hold different parts of the story. The jail file shows the booking. The court file shows the charge, the plea, and the disposition. The Clerk warns that the online court record is informational and not an official document. Order a certified copy from the Clerk when you need the record for legal use.
For people held on a state sentence, search the Florida Department of Corrections offender search. For federal pretrial or post-sentence inmates, use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. The released inmates page covers the 90-day window after release.
Note: Florida VINELink at vinelink.vineapps.com/state/FL sends free notifications when a Manatee inmate's custody status changes.
A first-time user often needs to make a single follow-up call to confirm what they saw online. The booking and bond line at (941) 723-5132 is the right contact for charge and bond questions once a booking number exists. The Clerk's office at (941) 749-1800 is the right contact for final case disposition once a court file has been opened.
Mail to Manatee County Inmates
The Sheriff's jail mail guidelines page lists what an inmate can receive. Senders must use the inmate's full name and booking number on the envelope. Standard mail goes to Manatee County Central Jail, 14470 Harlee Road, Palmetto, FL 34221. Money orders use a separate mailing flag to the inmate account.
Common items that are not allowed include cash, checks, gift cards, food, polaroid pictures, stickers, glitter, perfume, lipstick, and any mail that suggests escape, gang content, or threats. The jail screens incoming mail for contraband. Legal mail from an attorney follows separate rules and is opened in the inmate's presence.
Professional Visits and PREA Entry
Professional visitors such as attorneys, social workers, and counselors use a separate path. They complete a Professional Visitor application and a PREA Entry form, then email both to ProfessionalVisitors@manateesheriff.com. After approval, the visitor registers with ViaPath, and the account updates to "Professional Visitor." Professional visits can be remote video calls through ViaPath or in person at the facility. The help line for professional visitors is (941) 747-3011 ext. 2813, open every day 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Note: Checking in online or arriving 15 minutes after a scheduled start time automatically cancels a professional visit, with no refund on the nominal fee.
